Terms of Service
Effective 8 September 2026
Beat the Bots is a free daily puzzle made by one person. These terms are short because the game is simple. By playing, you agree to them.
The game
One puzzle a day, free, no account needed. An account keeps your stats and puts you on the leaderboard. We may change the game, add or remove features, or stop running it. We will try to give notice of anything big, but we cannot promise the game will always be available.
Your account
One account per person. You are responsible for the email address or Google account you sign in with, and for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, email us. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Fair play
The leaderboard only means something if everyone plays by hand. Do not:
- use scripts, bots or browser automation to play, or to work through the word pool;
- use more than one account;
- scrape the site, hammer the servers, or interfere with the game for other players;
- try to get at other players' data, or at the day's answers by any route other than guessing.
We may remove scores or accounts that break these rules, without notice.
The puzzles
Each night an AI model picks a theme and five words and paints the picture, and another plays the round as the Bot. We check the results, but they can still be odd, wrong, or occasionally in poor taste. If a puzzle offends you, email us and we will look at it.
The site, its code and its puzzles are ours. You are welcome to share your results, screenshots and links to puzzles anywhere you like.
Coffees
Support through Ko-fi is voluntary. It happens on Ko-fi's site under Ko-fi's terms, and it does not buy anything in the game.
No warranty
The game is provided as is. We do our best to keep it up and to count your streaks correctly, but we make no promises about availability, accuracy, or that the Bot can be beaten on any given day.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the game, from downtime, or from lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to play, which is nothing.
Privacy
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version goes up here with a new date at the top. Playing after a change means you accept it.
